    advanced type of rechargeable battery technology that differs from traditional batteries in that the composition of its electrolyte is a solid material

     

    NOTE 1 Conventional lithium-ion batteries typically use liquid or gel electrolytes.

    NOTE 2 The use of solid-state electrolyte offers potential advantages over liquid or gel electrolyte batteries in terms of safety, energy density and lifespan.
